AARON (AIRn)

Became the first High Priest.  The Aaronic priesthood, which were the priests of the tribe of Levi, was named after him. (Ex. 28:1, 29; Lev. 8; Num. 18)  He was an early spokesman for Moses who helped him in battle (Ex. 17:9-12).  He made an idol (Ex. 32).   He also criticized Moses for his choice of a wife (Num. 12:1-2).Parents were Amram and Jochebed.  Sister was Miriam (Num. 26:59)  Aaron lived until the age of 123 and died without entering the Promised Land because of his lack of faith in God (Num. 20:12)

It was amazing how detailed and amazing the ritual in Lev. 8 was to annoint Aaron and his sons as God’s priests.
