Love

But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.    Romans 5:8

For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlsting life.    John 3:16

Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God: and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.  He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.  In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his onlly begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.  Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.  Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.  No man hath seen God at any time.  If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.    I John 4:7-12

And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us.  God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.  We love him, because he first loved us.    I John 4:16, 19

As the Fther hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.  If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commndments, and abide in his love.  These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.  This is my commandment.  That ye love one another, as I have loved you.  Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.  these things I command you, that ye love one another.    John 15:9-13, 17

That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love.  May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height:  And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fullenss of God.    Ephesians 3:17-19

I love them that love me; and those that see me early shall find me.    Proverbs 8:17

The Lord hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with loving kindness have I drawn thee.    Jeremiah 31:3

And I will betroth thee unto me for ever; yea, I will betroth thee unto me in righteousness, and in judgement, and in loving-kindness, and in mercies.    Hosea 2:19

He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is tht loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and i will love him, and will manifest myself to him.    John 14:21

Yet the Lord will command his loving-kindness in the day-time, and in the night his song shall be with me, and my prayer unto the God of my life.    Psalm 42:8

And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these if charity.    I Corinthians 13:13

For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.    Romans 8:38,39

For wisdom and cohesiveness to characterize the teamwork of the President-and Vice President-Elect.

How good and pleasant it is when brothers live together in unity!  Psalm 133:1

Lord God, You know all hearts and You discern our motives in ways we cannot know.  You are wise and good and truthful in all things, and You bring together that which can easily be torn apart.  You love unity and in Your triune nature, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, You are a holy personification of what you desire for all himan relationships.

Today we ask that you bring oneness to our President and Vice President-Elect.  give them unity in all they do, from national policy to work in Congress, to respect for each other. Let them experience a pleasure they did not anticipate, and a joy they could not experience if they were divided and contentious.  We give You glory for this, in the name of Christ our Lord, Amen

I can do all things through Christ which strengthened me.  Philippians 4:13

Therefore let no man glory in men.  For all things are yours;  Whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come; all are yours;  And ye are Christ’s and Christ is God’s.  I Corinthians 3:21-23

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ.  Ephesians 1:3

If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.  John 15:7

And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.  I John 3:22

What a Friend we have in Jesus, All our sins and griefs to bear!

What a privilege to carry – Everything to God in prayer!

O what peace we often forfeit, O what needless pain we bear,

All because we do not carry – Everything to God in prayer

Have we trials and temptations?  Is there trouble anywhere?

We should never be discouraged – Take it to the Lord in prayer!

Can we find a friend so faithful – Who will all our sorrows share?

Jesus knows our every weakness – Take it to the Lord in prayer,

Are we weak and heavy laden, Cumbered with a load of care?

Precious Savior, still our refuge – Take it to the Lord in prayer.

Do thy friends despise, forsake thee?  Take it to the Lord in prayer;

In His arms He;ll take and shield thee-  Thou wilt find a solace there.

Brother

For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister and mother.  Matthew 12:50

For both he that sanctified and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren,  Hebrews 2:11

For whom he did forknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed  to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.  Romans 8:29

For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.  Galatians 3:26

But as many as receive him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:  John 1:12

Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellow-citizens with the saints, and of the household of God;  Ephesians 2:19

Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God:  Therefore the world knoweth us not, because it know him not.  I John 3:1

And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying Abba, Father.  wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.  Galatians 4:6,7

For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, They are the sons of God.  Romans 8:14

Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be:  but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.  I John 3:2

Companion

I am a companion of all them that fear thee, and of them that keep thy precepts.  Psalm 119:63

A man that Hath friends mush shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.  Proverbs 18:24

let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.  Hebrews 13:5

Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his Lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.

Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.  John 15:15,16

But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christhis Son cleanseth us from all sin.  I John 1:7

For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but the kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, saith the Lord that hath mercy on thee.  isaiah 54:10

Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: If any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.  Revelation 3:20

When my father and my mother forsake me, then the Lord will take me up.  Psalm 27:10

God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.  I Corinthians 1:9

SILENCE AND SOLITUDE

Example

For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps:  I Peter 2:21

he that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as we walked.  I John 2:6

Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear Children:  and walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himiself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling savour.  Ephesians 5:1,2

Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:  Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.  Philippians 2:5-8

But so shall it not be among you: but whosoever will be great among you, shall be your minister:  And whosoever of you will be the chiefest, shall be servant of all.  For even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.  Mark 10:43-45

If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one an other’s feet.  For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done for you  John 13:14,15

A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.  John 13:34

Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.  I John 3:16

Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be like-minded one toward another according to Christ Jesus: That ye may with one mind and one mouth glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.  Wherefore receive ye one another, as Christ also received us to the glory of God.  Romans 15:5-7

Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.  Colossians 3:13

Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross,l despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.  For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.  Hebrews 12:2.3

http://www.reasons.org

I am so excited to share this web site with you.  Putting it simply, this group of scientists and their other staff provide powerful new reasons from science to believe in Jesus.  I will keep it simple and just tell you the very basics of their beliefs.  I encourage you to go to their web site and explore.

WHAT THEY BELIEVE ABOUT:

Scripture: They believe the the Bible is the Word of God.  As a “God-breathed” revelation, it is thus verbally inspired and completely without error (historically, scientifically, morally, and spiritually) in its original writings.

Creation:  They believe that the physical universe is the visible creation of God.  That it declares God’s existence and gives a trustworthy revelation of God’s character and purpose.

God:They believe in one infinitely perfect, eternal and personal God who is the transcendent and sovereign Sustainer of the universe.

Person of Christ:The believe that Jesus Chrsit is both true God (second person of the Trinity) man (incarnate Son of God.)

Person of the Holy Spirit:They believe that the Holy Spirit, is indeed a Divine Person, coequal with the Father and the Son.

Mankind:God created mankind in His image and likeness(having rational, moral, relational, and spiritual capibilites) to followship with Him and give Him glory.

Redemption:They believe God has acted sovereignly to bridge the gap that separates people from himself.  He sent His Son, born of a virgin, attested by miracles and by a sinless life, to bear the full penalty for humanity’s sin.

Justification:This is a judicial act of God’s grace wherein He acquits a person of all sin and accepts that person as righteous in His sight because of the imputed righteousness of Christ.

Resurrection:Jesus Christ rose bodily from the dead, conquering sin, death, and all the powers of Satan.

The Church:This is the spiritual body of Jesus Chrsit and that it encompasses all true believers at all times and places.

Future Things:The Lord Jesus Christ will return to this earth, personally, bodily, and visibly to establish his glorious reign in a kingdom that will never end.

The Great Commission:Jesus Christ is the only way of salvation.

This is a very brief statement to wet your taste buds.  I hope that this will stir your interest to spend some time on their amazing web site.  They have so much to offer in the way of wisdom and knowledge.

Also look at other pages here to see who is on their staff.

Fellowship

That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.  I John 1:3

God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our LordI Corinthians 1:9

Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.  Revelation 3:20

Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.  John 14:23

Sing and rejoice, O daughter of Zion: for, Lo, I come, and I will dwell in the midst of thee, saith the Lord.  Zechariah 2:10

For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.  Matthew 18:20

He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and i will love him, and will manifest myself to him.  John 14:21

Abide in me, and I in you.  As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.  I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.  John 15:4,5,7

If there be therefore any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any bowels and mercies, Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be like minded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind.  Philippians 2:1,2

I am a companion of all them that fear thee, and of them that keep my precepts.  Psalm 119:63

And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet smelling savour.  Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.  Ephesians 5:2,19,30

This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.  If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:  But if we walk in the light as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.  I John 1:5-7

Forgiveness

To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.  In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;  Ephesians 1:6,7

Thou hast forgiven the iniquity of thy people, thou hast covered all their sin.  Selah (think about it).  Psalm 85:2

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.  II Corinthians 5:17

As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.    Psalm 103:12

My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not.  And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the father, Jesus Christ the righteous:    I John 2:1

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.  I John 1:9

For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.  Hebrews 8:12

Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.  Isaiah 55:7

Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.  Colossians 3:13

And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.  Mark 11:25

And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;  Colossians 2:13

And I will cleanse them from all their iniquity, whereby they have sinned against me; and i will pardon all their iniquities whereby they have sinned, and whereby they have transgressed against me.  Jeremiah 33:8

Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord:  Though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.  Isiah 1:18

I, even I, am he that blotteth out they transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins.  Isaiah 43:25

Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered.  Blessed is the man unto whom the Lord imputeth not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is not guile.  Psalm 32:1,2

Peace

Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.    Isaiah 26:3

But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the Blood of Christ.  For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broked down the middle wall of partition between us.    Ephesians 2:13,14

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given:  and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.  Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever.  The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.    Isaiah 9:6,7

And the God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly.  The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.  Amen.    Romans 16:20

Lord, thou wilt ordain peace for us: for thou also hast wrought all our works in us.    Isaiah 26:12

Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.    Philippians 4;9

Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:    Romans 5:1

And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.    Colossians 3:15

I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, Lord, only makest me dwell in safety.    Psalm 4:8

The Lord will give strength unto his people; the Lord will bless his people with peace.    Psalm 29:11

Peace, I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you.  Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.    John 14:27

Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be make know unto God.  And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.    Philippians 4:6,7

GEORGE WASHINGTION

O eternal and everlasting God, …increase my faith in the sweet promises of the gospel; give me repentance from dead works; pardon my my wanderings, and direct my thoughts unto thyself, the God of my salvation; teach me how to live in thy fear, labor in thy service, and ever to run in the ways of thy commandments; make me always watchful over my heart, that neither the terrors of conscience, the loathing of holy duties, the love of sin, nor an unwillingness to depart this life, may cast me into the spiritual slumber, but daily frame me more and more into the likeness of thy son Jesus Christ, that living in thy fear, and dying in thy favor, I may in thy appointed time attain the resurrection of the just unto eternal life bless my family, friends, and kindred.

SAVIOR:

Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;    Titus 3:5,6

And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world.    1 John 4:114

And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour.    Luke 1:47

. . .for we have heard him ourselves, and know that this is indeed the Christ, the Saviour of the world.    John 4:42b

For the Son of man is come to see and to save that which is lost.    Luke 19:10

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.    John 3:16

Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:  Whom God hath set forth to be  propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;    Romans 3:24, 25

But God, who is rich in mercy, for his gret love wherewith he loved us,  Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)    Ephesians 2:4,5

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He tht believeth on me hath everlasting life.    John 6:47

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:  not of works, lest any man should boast.    Ephesians 2:8,9

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.    Romans 10:9

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature:  old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.    II Corinthians 5:17

Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began.    II Timothy 1:9

Nevertheless he saved them for his name’s sake, that he might make his mighty power to be known.    Psalm 106:8

Lord:

Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:  That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;  And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.    Philippians 2:9-11

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be sved.  For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.    Romans 10:9,10

And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?    Luke 6:46

Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin:  But yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.    For sin shall not hve dominion over you for ye are not under the law, but under grace.  What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.  Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servnts ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?    Romans 6:14-16

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.  And be not conformed to this world; but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.    Romans 12:1,2

What? Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which you have of God, and ye are not your own?  For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.    I Corinthians 6:19,20

Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.    Acts 2:36

For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord’s.    Romans 14:8

Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation.  Selah.  Psalm 68:19

But it is good for me to draw near to God:  I have put my trust in the Lord God, that I mas declare all thy works.  Psalm 73:28

For thou, Lord, art good, and redy to forgive; and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon thee.    Psalm 86:5

For the Lord God will help me; therefore shall I not be confounded:  therefore have I set my face like a flint, and I know that I shall not be ashamed.    Isaiah 50:7

And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strngth: this is the first commandment.   Mark 12:30

For David speaketh concerning him. I forsaw the Lord always before my face, for he is on my right hand, that I should not be moved.    Acts 2:25

PRAYER

One author said:  “Our fellowship with God is not meant to wait wntil we are in heaven.  god’s greatest desire, and our greatest need, is to be in constant fellowship with Him now, and there is no greater expression of experience of fellowship than prayer.”

Colossians 4:2  Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving.

To have a vital prayer life we must have the right attitude.  We also must avoid pride, don’t be a hypocrite or try to impress others or God.  Make your prayers personal.  After all you are talking to your Heavenly Father and Creator.    And we must follow Christ’s example.  (See  Matthew 6:5-15-Sermon on the Mount)

Proclaim

Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name . . .”

Start by expressing you love to God.  Express Adoration, Thanksgiving and Praise.  To get an idea about this read Psalms 146-150.

“Enter His gates with Thanksgiving and His courts with praise”

Purpose

“Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven . . .”

Commit yourself to God’s purpose.  Align your self with His will.

See these verses for God’s will in scripture:  I Thessalonians 4:3-6, 5:18; Ephesians 5:15-17; John 7:16-17

Provision

Give us this day our daily bread . . .”

Ask god to provide for your daily needs, but be sure your motives are right.  See the following verses:  Philippians 4:6,19; James 4:2,3 *; i John 5:14; John 16:13

Pardon

“And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. . .”

Ask the Holy Spiritto reveal any sin and and accepts God’s forgivness.  Confess each sin and make restitution when ever necessary.  It is best to make things right before going to the Lord in prayer.  Here are some helpful verses:  Psalm139:23-24; Proverbs 28:13; matthew 5:23-24; I John 1:9

People

Pray for other people.  See I Timothy 2:1; Ephesians 1:15-19; Colossians 1:3-12; I Thessalonians 1:2-3

Protection

Ask God for spiritual protection.

See Ephesians 6:10-12, 18 (the armor of God); I John 4:4

Then rest in his peace.

“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer an supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.  and the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”  Phil. 4:6-7
